Getting your brokerage live.

Ten articles covering everything from checkout to your first campaign. If the answer isn't here, email support@realviu.com. A person replies, usually within a few hours.

What happens after checkout

The moment Stripe confirms your payment we provision your site. Within a few minutes you'll have a working brokerage site at yourname.realviu.app with your chosen template, and an email with your sign-in link.

At that point three things are still outstanding, and they're worth doing in this order:

  1. Brand it: logo, colours, agents (article 4).
  2. Connect your own domain so clients see your name, not ours (article 2).
  3. Select RealViu Hub as your vendor in PropTX so listing search switches on (article 3).

Until your board feed is approved, your site is a brochure rather than a search portal. Article 3 is the one that matters most. Start it on day one, because your board's review timeline is the long pole.

Connect your own domain

You can point an existing domain at RealViu or use a new one. Either way you'll add two records at your registrar, the company where you bought the domain, such as GoDaddy, Namecheap or Google Domains.

  1. In your RealViu portal, open Settings → Domain and enter the domain you want to use, for example brokeragesite.com.
  2. We show you the exact records to add. Typically a CNAME for www and an A or ALIAS record for the root domain.
  3. Sign in to your registrar, open the DNS settings, and add the records exactly as shown. No trailing dots, no extra spaces.
  4. Come back to the portal and press Verify. Most domains verify within minutes; some registrars take a few hours to propagate.
  5. Once verified we issue an SSL certificate automatically, so your site loads on https with no further work.
Already have a website on that domain? Don't change the records until you're ready to switch. Build and review your RealViu site on the subdomain first, then repoint DNS. The changeover takes minutes and nothing is lost.

Don't want to touch DNS? Reply to your welcome email with registrar access and we'll do it for you and confirm when it's live.

Activate listing search through PropTX

RealViu is an approved technology vendor with PropTX. Listing data is licensed to your brokerage by your board. To receive it, your brokerage names us as the vendor on your IDX (or VOW) feed. This is initiated from inside PropTX, not by sending us a signed agreement.

  1. Your broker of record (or an authorized admin) logs in to the PropTX portal.
  2. Under vendor / data licensing, select RealViu Hub as your technology vendor.
  3. We're notified automatically. We review the request and sign our portion of the agreement.
  4. The agreement is then sent to your broker of record for signature.
  5. Once your broker of record has signed, MLS conducts a final review before granting approval.
  6. When approved, PropTX sends us the fully signed agreement and we open the feed on your account. Listings appear on a staging URL first, so you can check the live display before it goes fully live.
Don't see RealViu Hub as a vendor option? Email us at support@realviu.com with your board name and office number and we'll confirm your PropTX account is set up to select us.

Timelines are set by your board, not by us. A week or two is typical, and spring is slower. Switching from another platform is usually a vendor change on an existing feed rather than a brand-new application, which tends to move faster.

Brand your site and edit your pages

Open Settings → Brand to upload your logo, set your colours and choose your typeface. Everything a client sees, the site, alert emails, valuation reports and the AI assistant, picks these up automatically.

To edit content, open Site → Pages. Each template is built from independent modules: hero, featured listings, map search, neighbourhood guides, agent roster, testimonials, valuation, open houses, market stats, blog, lead forms and footer CTA.

  • Reorder modules by dragging them.
  • Switch off anything you don't need. An empty module is worse than no module.
  • Edit text in place; changes publish when you press Publish, not before.

Community and neighbourhood pages are your best long-term source of search traffic. Even three well-written area pages outperform a dozen thin ones.

Add and remove agents

Growth and Dominance AI include unlimited agents, so there's no reason to leave anyone off. Presence is licensed for exactly one agent.

  1. Go to Team → Agents and choose Add agent, or Import CSV for a whole office at once.
  2. Required fields: name, email, licence number. Optional: photo, bio, languages, specialties, direct line.
  3. Each agent gets an invitation email with a sign-in link. Their profile page goes live on your site once they accept.
  4. To remove someone, open their profile and choose Deactivate. Their leads stay in the CRM and can be reassigned; nothing is deleted.

Send us the CSV and we'll load your whole team, set up routing, and run a twenty-minute walkthrough for them. Most brokerages find that faster than doing it themselves.

How leads get captured and routed

Every enquiry from your site lands in the CRM with the listing that produced it attached, so nobody has to ask where a lead came from.

Lead sources include contact forms, listing enquiries, saved-search signups, valuation requests and AI assistant conversations.

Under Settings → Lead routing you choose how they're assigned:

  • Listing agent: enquiries about a listing go to whoever holds it. The default, and usually correct.
  • Round robin: general enquiries distributed evenly across the team.
  • By area: route by neighbourhood or postal code.
  • To one person: everything to an administrator who triages manually.

Agents are notified by email and in the portal. If a lead isn't actioned within the window you set, it escalates to the brokerage admin. That is the setting worth turning on before anything else.

Send your first campaign

The Marketing Centre (Dominance AI) sends from your own authenticated domain, so campaigns land in inboxes rather than spam.

  1. Open Marketing → Campaigns → New.
  2. Choose an audience: everyone, or a segment such as "saved a search in [neighbourhood]" or "viewed a listing in the last 30 days".
  3. Pick a template: new listings, market update, open house or plain letter.
  4. Attach listings; property cards with photo, price and link are generated for you.
  5. Send a test to yourself, check it on a phone, then schedule or send.
A word on the law. Canada's anti-spam legislation applies to your marketing email. Send only to people who consented or with whom you have a genuine business relationship, include your mailing address, and keep the unsubscribe link working. Every RealViu template includes both.

Your best-performing campaign is almost always the simplest: new listings this week in one neighbourhood, sent to people who saved a search there.

Turn on the AI assistant

The assistant answers buyers on your site around the clock, searching your listings, estimating home values, qualifying enquiries and booking showings, then writing the lead into your CRM with the agent already assigned.

It's $199/month on Growth and included in Dominance AI. Enable it under Settings → AI assistant.

  • Tone and name: give it your brokerage's voice; it never claims to be a licensed agent.
  • Handoff rules: decide when it books directly and when it passes to a person.
  • Coverage hours: most brokerages run it 24/7; some restrict it to after hours.
  • Transcripts: every conversation is stored on the lead record. Read the first week's worth; it's the best product feedback you'll get.

Valuation estimates are informational and are not appraisals. The assistant says so, and you should be comfortable with that wording before enabling it.

Billing, invoices and changing plan

Plans are billed monthly in advance in Canadian dollars, with taxes added. There are no setup fees and no contract.

  • Invoices and receipts: Settings → Billing opens the Stripe portal, where you can download every invoice.
  • Update your card: same place. Do it before expiry to avoid an interruption.
  • Change plan: upgrades apply immediately and are prorated; downgrades take effect at your next billing date.
  • Failed payment: we retry automatically over about two weeks and email you each time. Listing search and alerts pause only after repeated failures, and your site and data stay untouched.
  • Billing contact: add your bookkeeper's address so invoices reach the right person.

Export your data, or cancel

Your contacts, enquiries, saved searches and site content belong to your brokerage. You can export them at any time, not only when leaving.

  1. Settings → Data → Export produces CSVs of contacts and leads, plus your page content.
  2. Large exports are emailed as a download link when they're ready.

To cancel, open Settings → Billing → Cancel subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing month, and we ask one question about why. Please answer honestly, it genuinely shapes what we build.

After cancellation your data remains available to export for 30 days, then it's deleted on the schedule in our privacy policy. If you point your domain elsewhere, do it before the site is deactivated so visitors are never left on a dead page.
